Crimestoppers receives boost

BECKLEY (WVVA) - The city of Beckley along with the Raleigh County Commission has given a $10,000 check to Crimestoppers.

The program is designed to help police solve crimes in the area by rewarding people who call in with tips, but you only get paid if an arrest is made.

So far, Crimestoppers has given out more than $50,000 in rewards and it has aided in the return of more than $1 million-worth of stolen property.

If you have a tip about a crime, contact Crimestoppers at 304 255-STOP.
