ATHENS, W.Va. The Concord University Symphonic Band will be holding its spring concert on Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the main auditorium of the Alexander Fine Arts Center.

The Fine Arts Center is located on Concord's campus at 1000 Vermillion Street in Athens,

The band will be presenting music reflecting times of war as well as times of peace. Bolden is a Bluefield native and will be conducting the piece.

Dr. Laura Zamzow is the band director at Concord and will be conducting the concert. She says, "The band has been doing great work this semester and we are excited to share this concert with our community. There will be a good mix of the exciting and of the reflective."
