W.Va. 'ambassadors for justice' to be honored

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Fifty-six West Virginia high school juniors who stand up to bullying and advocate for justice are being recognized.

The so-called ambassadors for justice will be honored Thursday at a ceremony in Charleston sponsored by U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.

The ambassador for justice program recognizes juniors who have shown outstanding character and citizenship. It encourages them, for instance, to speak out against bullying and crime.

Students are nominated for the award program by their principals or other school administrators. This year, all but three of the ambassadors are from high schools located in southern West Virginia.
