    MERCER CO. (WVVA) - Dustie Beller was on trial for running over a woman with her car all for chainsaw. While she was found not guilty of attempted murder, the jury did find her guilty of petty larceny, conspiracy, failure to stop and render aid, and malicious wounding. NEWS RELEASE:  Tazewell, Va.  Dennis H. Lee, Tazewell County Commonwealth's Attorney, announced today that on April 23, 2013, CARSTON LEE FORD, age 32, of 18428 Gov. George C. Peery Highway, Pounding Mill, Virginia was arrested on two (2) counts of Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Distribute, one (1) count of Possession of a Schedule I or II Narcotic, and one (1) count of Possession of an Unlawful Chemical Compound by a Prisoner.  One Possession with Intent to Distribute charge was the result of a search warrant that was executed at his residence of 18248 Gov. G. C. Peery Highway by the Tazewell County Narcotics Task Force.  The additional charges stemmed from FORD attempting to bring additional narcotics into the jail while being booked on the original charge.
 
During the search, officers seized approximately $1,600.00 in U. S. Currency, and a considerable number of narcotic pills, namely: Roxicodone and Xanax.  The street value of the narcotics recovered is well over $3,000.00.  Along with the narcotics and money, additional evidence of drug distribution at this residence was seized by Task Force Officers.  FORD's arraignment is currently set for April 25, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Tazewell County General District Court.  FORD is currently being held at the Tazewell Regional Jail with no bond.
 
This case is still considered an active investigation and additional criminal charges are likely to be obtained on other individuals involved.  This case is being investigated by the Tazewell County Narcotics Task Force and is being prosecuted by Tazewell County Commonwealth's Attorney Dennis H. Lee.
