Mercer, Wyoming Counties get School Building Authority funds

Posted:

The West Virginia School Building Authority gives out $51-million for 11 projects around the state.

Two of those are in Southern West Virginia.

Mercer county is getting $339,458 to help build Oakvale Elementary.

SBA Executive Director Mark Manchin says that project came in over-budget, and the board of education will come up with the remainder.

Wyoming County is getting $1,250,000 to finish Huff Consolidated Elementary School.

Manchin says these funds are enough to finish the project.
