The Thursday evening Gardening and Canning seminar is open to students and to the community, and those attending will receive a free pack of heirloom organic vegetable or flower seeds.  The gardening and canning seminar will discuss how backyard gardening is a positive economic and earth-friendly choice.
Concord University's Bonner Scholars are involved in projects for Environmental Awareness including the "Let's CU Reduce Your CO2" campaign. The aim of the campaign is to make members of the CU community aware of their carbon footprint and steps they can take to reduce their footprint. Individuals can sign a CO2 reduction pledge at the Bonner's informational display outside of the Student Center cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April 19.
Concord University has participated in Earth Day for four years. The University's observance has grown and added events in order to raise awareness of what can be done every day to help take care of our environment.
