2nd worker injured at W.Va. natural gas site dies

WICK, W.Va. (AP) -- A second worker injured in an accident at a natural gas operation has died.

The Tyler County Sheriff's Office tells media outlets that 43-year-old Raymond Miller of Jeanette, Pa., died Monday at the West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh.

Miller was one of three workers injured in Thursday's accident at a Eureka Hunter Pipeline operation near Wick. Fifty-six-year-old Bruce Phipps of Marietta, Ohio, died Friday night. The sheriff's office says it doesn't have any information on the third worker.

Authorities have said the workers were injured in an explosion at a compressor station. But Eureka's parent, Magnum Hunter Resources, has said it was a flash fire at a "pig receiving station." Pigs are devices used to clean out or to inspect pipelines.

Magnum says the workers were employed by contractors.
