First ever "Facebook phone" hits store

BECKLEY (WVVA) -- You've probably heard the phrase "there's an app for that."  Now, there's a phone for that.  "That" meaning Facebook.

Today, HTC launched the first ever smart phone with Facebook fully integrated, exclusively through AT&T stores.  It's called the HTC First.

On the First you receive Facebook notifications the same as you would a text or a phone call.  There's no separate app.

Of those surveyed, 70% say they use Facebook on their smart phones.

"It started with younger kids and jumped on.  Now everyone has a Facebook," says Lawrence Christian, manager at a Beckley AT&T store.  "We're seeing it more and more everyday.  That's the first thing people bring up, and I saw somewhere the other day, I believe, over half of all Facebook visits are from a mobile phone, so it's definitely taken a presence in our stores."

The HTC first still has all of the regular features and apps any Android phone would.  No word yet if other social media entities will follow suit with fully integrated phones of their own.
