Sentencing delayed for man who sold fake passes at The Greenbrier

LEWISBURG, W. Va (WVVA)-- The man convicted of selling fake passes to the Greenbrier Classic was back in court Tuesday morning.

24-year-old Steve Vanhorn appeared for a sentencing hearing in Greenbrier County court, but he was not sentenced-- his attorney asked that his character and current paying job be taken into consideration.

The judge ordered an evaluation to assess whether Vanhorn would be a good candidate for work release.

Another sentencing hearing will be scheduled when the evaluation is complete.

Vanhorn pled guilty to grand larceny and fraudulent schemes earlier this year.

He was accused of stealing a printer from a storage building at The Greenbrier Resort and printing 31 fake passes to the July tournament.
