Greenbrier County man killed in logging accident


FENWICK (WVVA) - A Greenbrier County man has died from injuries sustained in a logging accident that happened in Nicholas County.

Frank Bush, 32, of Smoot, was killed when he became trapped by a tree that fell while he was cutting.

The accident happened on Monday around 1:30 p.m. in the Saxmon Hollow area of Fenwick.

Officials said Tuesday that Bush was working a job at the time.

The Richwood Volunteer Fire Department, as well as an ambulance service, the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department, and the West Virginia State Police responded to the incident.
