FAYETTEVILLE (WVVA) - A Fayette County man has pleaded guilty in the 2012 stabbing death of his neighbor.

Gavin Joe Williams of Scarbro entered the guilty plea in Judge Blake's courtroom Tuesday morning. He was then sentenced to life in prison with mercy.

Williams stabbed 63-year-old Darrell Shrewsbury to death at Shrewsbury's Wingrove Hill residence.

According to a previous report Shrewsbury was stabbed seven times.
