BECKLEY (NEWS RELEASE) – Skiers, snowboarders and tubing enthusiasts will be happy to learn Winterplace Ski Resort has extended its season through March 30, thanks to a healthy snow base, new natural snow and perfect winter weather conditions.

"Don't be fooled by the weather where you live! The highest snowmaking capacity per acre in the Southeast explains why Winterplace has great conditions even when there's no snow in your backyard!" said Terry Pfeiffer, Winterplace president. "If you are a first time skier or an avid skier, this is a great time to enjoy skiing, boarding and tubing!"

The ski resort reported 3" of new snow just this week with a snow base between 36"- 60". All 27 trails are open and more snow is in the forecast! The ski area will be open at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 25-30. For discounted rates, go to www.Winterplace.com.

A special Learn to Ski class will be offered and discounted Monday-Friday $34.95 and Saturday $48.95. In addition, Winterplace offers the largest Snowtubing Park in West Virginia – perfect for all ages and skill sets.
