Man dies in Greenbrier County car accident

QUINWOOD, W. Va (WVVA)-- West Virginia State Police have released the identity of a man killed in a car accident around 10:30 PM Tuesday night.

It happened on Marfrance Road near Quinwood in Greenbrier County.

Police say David Hargett of Rainelle was traveling north when his truck ran off the road and struck a tree on the driver's side.

Troopers observed multiple empty beer cans behind the seat, which led them to believe alcohol could have been a factor. Police say Hargett also had pieces of Hydrocodone in his pocket. He was pronounced dead en route to the ER.

The accident is still under investigation.
