Tractor trailer fire closes 219

FRANKFORD, W. Va (WVVA)-- A tractor trailer fire closed Route 219 in Frankford around 5 AM Wednesday.

It happened in a parked vehicle at the C&M Service Center and Exxon station in Frankford.

The fire was fully involved when crews arrived, surrounding the cab of the truck-- which is now a pile of burned parts.

Ford declared the vehicle a total loss, and said there was also damage to a truck parked nearby.

No one was injured in the blaze.

Frankford Volunteer Fire Chief Brian Ford told WVVA the cause is still under investigation. There were no telltale signs of foul play displayed, but investigators did not rule it out yet.

Ford said the fire crews' quick response saved other trucks and nearby buildings from damage.

Both Frankford and Lewisburg departments responded to the call.
