(WVVA)- March 12th and March 13th mark the 20 year anniversary of the 1993 Superstorm.
Snow from this historic storm started falling late on the 12th, and by the time it was done the next day, a foot and a half to just under four feet of snow had fallen across the Two Virginias.
Although the computer models of the time did surprisingly well with predicting the storm in advance, the communication of storm related information has seen an astronomical improvement with the advent of the Internet and social media.
The '93 Superstorm affected about 40% of the nation, or 100 million people in 26 States. 300 died as a result.
