GLENWOOD (WVVA) - Congratulations to Melissa Workman, the WVVA and Cole Chevy Teacher of the Month for February 2013!
Workman is the third grade teacher at Melrose Elementary in Princeton.
She is a graduate of Concord University.
Workman's reason for wanting to be a teacher was so that she could make a difference. Her motivation has been her students.
"Whether you hear a thank you or not, you see the progress. You see how they are doing in class, the way you effect them with or without being thanked verbally...just seeing their progress" said Workman
She had started her career teaching kindergarten and then moved her way to her current position teaching third grade.
