Princeton Rescue Squad Gears Up For Winter Storm

Posted:

PRINCETON W. Va. (WVVA)- The Princeton Rescue Squad has finalized its preparations as a looming winter storm approaches the Two Virginias.

The most common types of calls the Rescue Squad responds to during winter storms are automobile accidents, as well as slips and falls.

The Rescue Squad also sees a rise in the number of calls relating to heart attacks, most of which involve elderly patients.

The Squad's Education Director Pete Formato says that people, especially the elderly, should take their time and go slow with cleaning up the aftermath of the storm. He also advised that if you feel that you are starting to have trouble breathing and are experiencing tightness of the chest, you should immediately stop what you are doing and seek medical attention.
