Actor Estrada comes to Beckley to promote faith-based film

BECKLEY (WVVA) - Iconic television actor Erik Estrada, best remembered as Officer 'Ponch' Poncherello in the 1970s hit NBC series 'CHiPs,' is coming to Raleigh County to promote his latest project.

On Thursday Estrada was at Calvary Assembly of God in Beckley for the premiere of his film "Finding Faith."

The movie is based on a true story about a teenage Virginia girl abducted by an Internet predator.

Estrada also dons a badge in this film, playing the role of Bedford County, Va., Sheriff Michael Brown.

According to the official website for 'Finding Faith,' the film is family-friendly and a faith-based production in association with Liberty University and Thomas Road Baptist Church.

Estrada has visited several different locations in both Virginia and West Virginia on the film's premiere tour.
