FAYETTE COUNTY (WVVA) - Despite the chilly temperatures, whitewater rafting season kicked off with some eager participants Monday.
A group of college students from Indiana were the first to hit the rapids at Ace Adventure.
There was one enthusiast in the group -- the rest were first-timers.
Employees at Ace say they are expecting a busy 2013 with the arrival of the Boy Scouts coming to the region this summer.
The rapids will be open for business until October.
