BLUEFIELD, VA (WVVA)--- Two men were taken to the hospital after jumping out of the way of an oncoming train.
Lt. Pete Beavers of the Bluefield Virginia Police Department says that a car got stuck on the tracks on Depot Street in downtown around 4:00 A.M.
Lt. Beavers tells WVVA that the two men say while they were driving, a dog came out in the middle of the road and when they dodged the dog, their car got stuck on the tracks.
The two men got out of the car to push it out of the way but could not get the car moved in time.
The two were not hit by the train but they did suffer minor injuries from their fall avoiding the train.
