BLUEFIELD, W. Va (WVVA)- Chief Jeff Warden of the Bluefield Fire Department received a letter of praise today from the Bluefield board of directors for the swift response of his firefighters in putting out a blaze.

The fire had occurred a couple of weeks ago in the Behavioral Center of the Princeton Community Hospital.

The letter, which was written by director of plant operations Kevin Graham, stated how firefighters quickly contained the fire to a small section of the building and protected valuable property and assets from fire and water damage.

The letter went on to say that the men who worked in the affected building wrote the state fire marshall about how well the fire was handled.
