PRINCETON (WVVA) - A man charged in the murder of Jason Hicks has entered a guilty plea.

Lorenzo Barns, of Princeton, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in court Tuesday.

He was sentenced to a total of 45 years -- five of which are on a robbery charge.

Barnes killed 30-year-old Princeton resident Jason Hicks in early2012.  Police say the body of Hicks was found dead from a single gunshot wound near the entrance of a church on North Wickam Avenue in Princeton near his family home.
