West Virginia teens continue fight against tobacco

Posted:

CHARLESTON (WVVA)-- The West Virginia Youth Tobacco Prevention Program announced decreases in tobacco usage among the state's high school and middle school students between 2000 and 2011.

The announcement was made as part of the annual Tobacco Free Day at the West Virginia State Capitol during which nearly one thousand middle and high school students visited with legislators to draw attention to the tobacco problem in the state.

The students are members of Raze, a teen-led organization dedicated to fighting tobacco.
