MERCER COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA)--- Corey Samuel will now serve a life sentence for the murder of 27-year old Dewayne Steptoe in 2009.
He will be eligible for parole in 15 years.
Samuel appeared in Mercer County Circuit, Judge William Sadler's courtroom yesterday.
Steptoe was fatally shot outside 'Club Savoy' in Bluefield in September 2009.
Samuel was found guilty of first-degree murder in May 2012.
