Princeton seeks solution to bird problem

PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) - The City of Princeton has gone to the birds, as hundreds of starlings have littered city streets, rooftops and vehicles.

Some say it has created an unsafe working and living environment, but they're finding out it's not a problem that's easily fixed.

After dozens of complaints made to the city, resolving the bird problem is now a priority. City Code Enforcement Director Bill Buzzo says he's poured hours into researching a possible solution to the unwanted inhabitants.

Some proposed solutions have included releasing hawks, netting the infestation or using sonic repellers with lights and sound. So far, nothing the city's tried has worked.
