WINTERPLACE, W. Va. (WVVA)- It goes without saying that Winterplace is a popular destination for skiers everywhere. It is also the home of a local youth ski team.
The Winterplace ski team has called the Winterplace Ski Resort home for the last 26 years.
They compete regularly in officially sanctioned U.S. Ski and Snowboarding Association races.
Just recently, two of their skiers were awarded medals for placing fifth in a race at the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia.
The kids, all of whom compete under the USSA program, each have the opportunity to advance to the national spotlight as their skills improve.
