1 airlifted after Greenbrier County crash

LEWISBURG, W. Va (WVVA)-- Police said Tuesday a person was airlifted from the scene of a car accident in Greenbrier County.

Greenbrier County 911 said the call came in at 3:49 PM and it happened between Alta and Lewisburg on Route 60 West.

Police said one person was trapped inside a vehicle and the Lewisburg and Fairlea Fire Departments cut them out before a chopper flew them to a hospital.

The injuries did not appear life-threatening to the officer.

Other details are not available at this time.

The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
