BLUEWELL (WVVA)- A local family mourns the loss of 43-year-old Edward Finney, who was killed as the result of an equipment-related accident last Thursday.

A viewing was held on Monday for Finney at the Cravens-Shires funeral home in Bluewell.

He worked at the Pocahontas Coal Company's Affinity Mine in Raleigh County.

Family members say that Finney loved working at the mine and that it helped him provide for his children.

In March of last year, the Mine Safety and Health Administration had listed the Affinity Mine among three that had been caught giving illegal advanced warning that inspectors were onsite.
