Brittany Williams, WVVA News--An escape from reality awaits visitors at the Inn at Riverbend in Giles County.
"We feel like here we've got the whole package. You've got beautiful accommodations, but you are also in a rustic area."
The bed and breakfast in New River Valley is owned by Janet and Jimm Burton. A stay there differs from your typical overnight accommodations. From the moment you arrive the Burton's say they strive to meet each guests unique needs including dining choices. Which offers guest a custom experience.
Janet Burton said, "One of the things we strive to focus on is treating each guest as an individual. Finding out what it is that person enjoys, and really trying to make that person feel special."
When it comes to choosing a bed and breakfast, location is key. Burton said, "We have 37 miles of the New River here in Giles County, it's the second oldest river in the world after the Nile. It flows from south to north like the Nile, most rivers flow from north to south."
Each of the seven rooms at the inn has a unique design, and is named after a local attraction, in hopes of sparking the interest of visitors. "People will ask about the name of the room, and that gives us an opportunity to tell them a little bit more about the area."
The innkeepers encourage guests to explore the two Virginias during their stay. "There's so much so close to us that it's great, and we've actually started our own folder on our neighbor in West Virginia so people can see the attractions there."
If you seek adventure, or just a cozy seat to take in the stunning sights, a stay at the Inn at Riverbend may be just what you are looking for.
