GLEN LYN (WVVA) - The mayor of Glen Lyn will remain behind bars as he faces charges of firing a gun and then putting it to the head of his wife during an argument.
A judge denied bond for a second time Wednesday for 57-year-old Thomas "Rick" Ould--the mayor of Glen Lyn in Giles County.
Ould was arrested last week on three charges including brandishing a gun and assault on a family member.
Special prosecutor Mike Fleenor told the court that Ould threatened to shoot his wife as she tried to leave the couple's home on Jan. 29.
Ould is charged with misdemeanor charges of reckless use of a firearm, brandishing a firearm and domestic assault.
Giles County Circuit Judge Bobby Turk refused to release Ould, but said if a secure mental health treatment facility was found he would reconsider.
Ould is set for trial Feb. 25.
