NEW YORK (WVVA) - Former Graham High School and Marshall University standout Ahmad Bradshaw has been released by the New York Giants, ESPN reports.
Bradshaw played six seasons for the Giants after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
During his time in New York, Bradshaw collected two Super Bowl rings -- scoring the winning touchdown in last year's victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
"I saw it coming because of the money," Bradshaw told ESPN's Josina Anderson. "Everything is about money I guess, so yes I was expecting it. I'm not discouraged at all. I'm just looking towards getting healthy and working with somebody else. That is all I can do."
Bradshaw -- the Giants' sixth all-time leading rusher -- will likely be replaced in New York's starting lineup by former Virginia Tech Hokie David Wilson, who performed well for the Giants in the latter half of the 2012 season.
