BLUEFIELD W.Va (WVVA) -- Plans were unveiled Tuesday for an economic development plan designed to give the City of Bluefield a boost.
The plan is called the Colonial Intermodal Center. It could clean up the area where the Colonial Theater and Matz Hotel used to sit. It would also add landscaping and public amenities.
The site would cater to the Bluefield Area Transit which officials say is an important element in the plan.
The plan is nearing the end of the engineering phase and officials hope construction will start by 2015.
