PRINCETON (WVVA) - A man charged in first-degree murder was back in court Wednesday.
Lorenzo Barnes, 22, is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the 2012 shooting death of 30-year-old Jason Hicks of Princeton.
Police say Barnes fatally shot Hicks in the parking lot of a church on North Wickham Avenue, near Hicks' home.
The court heard from several witnesses Wednesday in preparation for the Feb. 26 trial.
Barnes is originally from the St. Louis area.
