Matoaka Works to Resolve Water Issues

Posted:

MATOAKA, W.Va. (WVVA) -- Mayor Todd Colonna of Matoaka says that the water lines servicing the residents of Matoaka will be back to normal capacity by tomorrow morning.

Crews from the Rural Water Association have been working around the clock to repair multiple leaks in the system.

The largest leak was found and repaired in Carter Hill, and Mayor Colonna tells WVVA that four more leaks have been repaired today.

Subfreezing ground temperatures are to blame for the leaks.
