Judge denies bond for man charged in Bluefield murder

PRINCETON (WVVA)-- No bond was set for a man extradited from North Carolina charged with first-degree murder.

41-year-old Mitchell Antonio Watts was arraigned Tuesday in Mercer County Circuit Court before Judge Derek Swope. Watts is charged in the shooting death of 23-year-old Derek Tabor of Montcalm.

Tabor was shot and killed at a home on Fourth Street in Bluefield on August 20, 2012.

Watts was in jail on unrelated charges in Union County, North Carolina. He is currently being held in the Southern Regional Jail in Beaver.
