BECKLEY (WVVA) - Family, friends and colleagues paid their final respects this weekend to local EMT Mark Kinder, who was killed in a traffic accident while on duty last week.

Visitation was held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Church of God Family Worship Center in Beckley.

The funeral followed at 1 p.m.

Kinder's mother told WVVA News her son loved his job and helping other people.

Burial took place at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Kinder was killed when the Jan-Care ambulance he was in collided with a flatbed truck in Lewis County Tuesday morning.
