Reports from the Virginia and West Virginia State Police are that I77 is now closed in both directions from Wytheville to Bluefield due to multiple accidents. Both East River Mountain tunnel and Big Walker Mountain tunnel are closed until 7am Friday morning.
Two shelters in Bland County are open to travelers: One off mile marker 52 at the Bland Rescue Squad building, and another in Rocky Gap at the Methodist Church.
