Princeton gets $250K to help alleviate flooding


PRINCETON (WVVA) - The Shott Foundation has presented the city of Princeton a quarter-million dollars to help fight chronic flooding problems.

Buzz Wilkinson, president of the foundation, announced the donation at Tuesday's City Council meeting.

The money will be used to help resolve the city's frequent flooding problems in the Stafford Drive area.

Also at the meeting, the city held the swearing in ceremonies for new City Manager Elke Doom and Fire Chief Chad Bailey.

New Princeton Police officers Diana Aitken and Justin Faris were also sworn in.
