GLENWOOD (WVVA) - Congratulations to David Kade, the WVVA and Cole Chevy Teacher of the Month for December 2012!
Kade -- the longtime band teacher at Glenwood School -- is currently on medical leave fighting cancer.
He was not able to be at the school to accept his award, so his wife Julie -- Band Director at Princeton High School -- accepted it on his behalf in front of his students.
Julie says her husband was surprised when he heard he was chosen. She added David hopes to be back on his feet and with his students as soon as possible.
David's students said it's his passion for what he teaches that they love most about his class.
