ABINGDON, Va. (AP) - The Barter Theater in Abingdon is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year with new posters advertising its plays.

The posters have a simplistic design with the same font and no more than four colors.

Barter director of marketing Amanda Leslie tells The Bristol Herald Courier that the consistent design is intended to help define the theater make its shows instantly recognizable.
