OAK HILL (WVVA) - A Fayette County school bus driver is facing multiple charges after being accused in the sexual assault and abuse of a teenage girl.

Steven "Rick" Malay, 54, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of third-degree sexual assault and two counts of sex abuse by a person of trust.

Police say the alleged victim is a 14-year-old female.

According to the criminal complaint, the girl told police she had engaged in sexual intercourse with Malay on two different dates at her residence in Oak Hill.

The complaint further states that Malay admitted to police that he went to the girl's residence on two occasions, but denied having sexual contact.

Malay had been the girl's bus driver for approximately five years.

Fayette County Schools Superintendent Keith Butcher tells WVVA News that appropriate disciplinary action has been taken and that Malay is no longer at work.

Malay is currently free on bond.
