PINEVILLE (WVVA) - Authorities have released the name of the man they say attacked his grandparents at their Wyoming County home.

Medwin Jarrell Willard, 33, faces charges of two counts of malicious wounding, three counts of kidnapping, two counts of violent crime against the elderly and one count of grand larceny.

Police say Willard attacked his grandparents at their home in Baileysville, at one point holding them at knifepoint. A juvenile was also inside the home at the time of the attack.

Willard eventually left the scene in his grandparents' truck. He was apprehended a short time later without incident in the Reedy Creek area, approximately 11 miles away.

The grandparents were able to notify police of the attack.

The grandmother was airlifted to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. The grandfather also suffered undisclosed injuries.

Their conditions are unknown at this time.
