Mission serves Christmas meals

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - Bluefield residents had the chance to get a hot Christmas meal at the Bluefield Union Mission Tuesday.

This wa the 81st year the mission has helped those in need by providing a free meal.

donations were made by local stores such as Grants, Sam's Club and Food City -- as well as many individuals.

Craig Hammond, director of the Union Mission, said he's glad to help those in need during the holidays.

Hammond said he hoped to serve about 150 to 175 individuals.
