OAK HILL (WVVA) - An Oak Hill physician is facing drug charges after being accused of providing prescription drugs to female patients in exchange for sexual favors.

Police arrested 73-year-old Dr. Oscar Gosien Friday and charged him with felony offenses of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Gosien has been accused in numerous statements obtained by investigators of trading prescription medications to female patients for sexual favors, according to Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler.

"We have been receiving complaints about Dr. Gosien for a long time," Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler said.

Kessler also says that pills prescribed by Gosien have been linked to several overdose deaths in the county over recent years.

Gosien's secretary at his Lamplighter Road office, Kathy Treadway, 54, also faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Police say additional charges are expected to follow.

The two have yet to be arraigned. The case remains under investigation.
