ANSTED (WVVA) - Sheriff's deputies are searching for two suspects who used a stolen pickup truck to smash and grab cigarettes from two Fayette County convenience stores.

The first incident took place around 4 a.m. at the Marathon store on Route 60 in Ansted. Minutes later, the Little General in Gauley Bridge was targeted.

Police say the truck used to ram through the entrances of the stores --  a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado -- was stolen from Clonch Industries in Nicholas County.

The truck was later recovered in the Dixie area of Nicholas County.

Cartons of cigarettes were taken from both stores. No other items were said to be missing.

Surveillance video from both locations shows two masked individuals, one described as 'heavy set,' and the other described as thin.
