Fayette County will lose another business, likely before the end of the year. The Family Dollar in Fayetteville is going out of business.
The store has been at its Maple Avenue location for five years. Family Dollar has other locations in Beckley, Sophia, Mt. Hope, Glen Daniel, Oak Hill and Mullens.
Majority of the inventory at the Fayetteville location is marked down to half off the original price.
Family Dollar is the third business to announce they will be leaving Fayette County in the past few weeks. Value Plus Grocery Store and K-Mart, both in Oak Hill, will also close.
