Bond reduced for Mercer woman formerly charged with murder

Posted:

PRINCETON (WVVA) - Two weeks after murder charges were dropped against her, a Mercer County woman had her bond reduced Thursday.

Bond for Jessica Roberts was reduced today to $80,000.

If Roberts makes bail ---she will be drug tested weekly, and required to wear a GPS monitor.

The murder charge against Roberts was dropped after a court ruled that she was mentally unstable.

Roberts was charged after her husband was fatally shot while trying to rob a convenient store in Bramwell while she was waiting in the car.

He was shot dead by a customer inside who was carrying a concealed weapon.

So far, Roberts has not made bond and remains in Southern Regional Jail.
