MONTCALM (WVVA) - Crews were able to quickly contain a house fire on Sandlick Road in Mercer County Saturday evening.
Crews from Montcalm, Bluewell and Green Valley-Glenwood all responded to the fire around 9 p.m.
According to reports at the scene, most of the flames came from the basement area of the home.
The upper levels of the home suffered smoke damage.
There's no word at this time if anyone was home at the time of the fire, or if there were any injures.
The cause remains under investigation.
