    Beckley, W.Va. – United States Attorney Booth Goodwin announced that a Greenbrier County man pled guilty to a federal drug charge in Beckley Thursday. Seth Allen Carr, 24, of Alderson, admitted that on April 9, 2014, he used a telephone to facilitate a drug transaction. When he used the telephone he was in Lewisburg. PRINCETON (WVVA) - Authorities have released more details surrounding an altercation in Princeton that left one man dead.

Police say 34-year-old Michael Cardwell was fatally shot by 30-year-old Eddie Harman during a physical altercation outside Harman's home.

Police say a firearm carried by one of the individuals fell to the ground during the altercation. Harman retrieved the gun and shoot Cardwell once in the chest.

No charges have been filed at this time. The case remains under investigation.

PRINCETON (WVVA) - A man is dead and another is detained by police after a shooting on Bee Street in Princeton Wednesday.

Lt. J.W. Howell of the Princeton Police Department tells WVVA News that the two men apparently got into an altercation around 4 p.m. at the residence of the man being detained.

The victim was dead outside the residence when authorities arrived. Police say they are currently treating the case as a homicide investigation.

Family members tell WVVA News the victim's name is Michael Cardwell.

Further details are not available at this time. The case remains under investigation.
