BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - A 71-year-old Bluefield man was behind bars Wednesday after a drug task force found nearly 900 hydromorphone pills on his property.
Police arrested 71-year-old Tyler Thorpe at his residence on Roanoke Street Tuesday night. Thorpe faces multiple drug charges.
Police allege Thorpe may have used a laundromat in Bluefield that he co-owns to sell the drugs. The pills were found at Thorpe's home and the laundromat.
The arrest followed a three-month investigation. This is Thorpe's third drug-related arrest. Police say federal charges could be pending.
Thorpe is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail on $500,000 bond.
